Recently, I've gotten 1, gold. I noticed I could afford the Valentine II. By the time the Valentine gets where it's going the game is over. Your team has either steam rolled them, or you face a 1 vs 7. The tank virtually never gets Valentine - Yawo (2) - Valentine / Quadrillionaire (CDr) the fight in time to have any effect on the outcome of the game. I highly recommend the val2. It gets prem mm, meaning no tier 5 games. Also, the armor is not weaker on the lower plate. The only weak spot in the armor is the engine deck on the back.
The gun pen is workable. I carry some gold for matildas and pzb2s, but with a td toonmate, it is really easy. Again, I highly recomment the val2, as it was my 1st premium tank. I advise against it. Sure it is always top tier, but it is not a winner, go to, fun, credit making tank.
Have they changed the mm for the valentine II in blitz? Stats I write fanfiction and watch anime. You will never get into t5 battles since the gun has no pen, you might have to bring a couple of apcr rounds tho. Why would you ever want a Val when you can have a PzB2 it's better in also every regard.
A TheOriginalHorseGuy. Is the Valentine II worth purchasing? I happened to have an anniversary in it this AM, good time to take it for a spin, right? It is tier IV. Expect to have newbies on your team. Unless your team has tanks and players than can deal with those enemies. Above is typical. If your team cannot take on the top threats, it is game over. The second 6pdr cannon is the most direct path to the Alecto, and provides the same firing rate with much needed penetration. The howitzer provides much less penetration but can, with the extreme increase of damage, repel most tanks with one hit, effective when covering a small alley or path, however, the shot fired from the howitzer curves upwards before making contact.
Historical Info. The Valentine TD is apart of a plan to create a simple tank destroyer. It was to be equipped Valentine - Yawo (2) - Valentine / Quadrillionaire (CDr) a 6pdr gun in its field cartridge on the hull rather than using the turret. The work was discontinued when the Valentine was able to equip a 6pdr in the turret and newer plans were made for a better tank destroyer to be built on the same chassis.
